Professional Questions:
Q.) Tell me about where you came from, how’d you end up in Boston?
A.) Originally born and raised in Puerto Rico, I moved to Florida to attend high school. I was looking for a better education and looking ahead into college, so Boston obviously was the best choice. With a ton of great schools to choose from, I attended Emmanuel College right next to Fenway Park! Fun times.
Q.) What brought you to Generac?
A.) Generac was actually my second job out of college. My first full-time job was at a start-up, and I was there for 5 months when I realized it just wasn’t a good fit. So I applied to Generac and I’ve been working here for 2 years. I have no regrets!
Q.) In your opinion, what’s the best thing about Generac?
A.) No question, the people. You’re spending 40 to 50 hours a week in the office, so I think people have been the best part. Not just being with nice people, but people that are going to challenge you to be better. I like learning about people that come from different backgrounds and what they’re working on, or where they came from.
Q.) What have you gained from working here?
A.) That’s a loaded question… I’ve learned everything about a lot of things! I learned a lot about myself and how to carry myself in a professional setting and grow on my own. I learned to see things from a CEO’s perspective on running a business and what it takes to get there. I learned how to interview people and hire good people to continue to grow. Being exposed to these kinds of things has been very valuable!
